Week 25!

This week we made garbanzo burritos (which are basically chick pea burritos with a funny name!)with a tomato salsa, served with sour cream and a baked mango and vanilla cheesecake.
We started by making the cheesecake because it took an hour to cook and then you had to leave it another hour before eating it! It all went very well, if you want the recipe it should be on the Yeo valley website at Yeo Valley Baked Mango and Vanilla Cheesecake.

Then Zilah made the burrito filling while Steph made the salsa which also both went very well and although it took a while to prepare the the ingredients once we were cooking them didn't take long. We filled the wraps and baked them in the oven before topping them with the Delicious salsa and some grated cheese then putting it under the grill to melt the cheese and serving it. It tasted great with the melted cheese and we added some mango and vanilla yogurt to the cheesecake as the sauce. The whole meal was a success!
Bonne appetite from Zilah and Steph.

Week 24 !

we are very sorry we haven't blogged for a while, its hard in the summer to get a time when we are both free, but worry not WE ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!
and this week we made a spaghetti bolognese we apple and garlic  crumble.
We started with the bolognese sauce, it was reasonably simple, but time consuming as it took an hour to cook! While it was cooking we made the apple crumble. I'm sure your wondering about the flavour combination of apple and garlic, it was accidental. We didn't wash the chopping board we used for the garlic and onions and then used to chop the apples on, oopsies :/ Only some of the apple tasted of garlic but it was very garlicy!
WE made the spaghetti while the crumble cooked and ate the spaghetti bolognese which tasted lovely.
bonne appetite xx
